Our Carpet Cleaning Process 

Our “Dry in 25 Minutes” carpet cleaning process removes soil and stains that other cleaners leave behind.  And we avoid the “wicking” effect that can result in re-staining after the excessive moisture of steam cleaning. (See below for more information on wicking.)

First, our powerful vacuum system removes the loose soil.  We hand clean difficult stains, such as pet urine, with enzymes and other cleaners that break down these stains.  (See section below on how enzymes work.)  We then apply our exclusive , custom-blended cleaning solution that penetrates carpet fibers and gently loosens trapped soil and stains.

Next, our powerful buffer, specially designed with absorbent bonnets, gently lifts away soil and moisture.

Finally, we groom the carpet fibers to look and feel like new.

How Enzymes Work on Pet Stains/Odor

First, the areas of urine contamination must be identified.  Then, we treat the areas of urine contamination with enzyme solution that attacks the urine at the molecular level to actually break down the urine.

Our treatment contains enzyme-producing bacteria that digest organic waste matter, destroying urine odors/stains at their source for permanent removal.

Why We Avoid the Excessive Moisture of Steam Cleaning

If you want the peace of mind of knowing that your carpet is deep down clean, then SPS is the company for you. We don't just clean the tips of the carpet like some cleaners do - nor do we pressure wash the dirt down below the surface only to have it reappear as it dries.  Spots often reappear in the same place after cleaning because the unwanted material is forced down below the surface of the carpet by a high pressure steam cleaning unit - only to "wick" back up as the carpet dries. Because we apply our solutions so sparingly, without high pressure, wicking is not a problem.

Soaked carpets can pull water-driven dirt up along carpet fibers as they dry (over many hours or days) bringing back spots you just had cleaned.

Upholstery Cleaning

Upholstered furniture uses more varied materials and methods of manufacture than carpet. One cleaning process will not work on all upholstered furniture. Special issues, such as color fastness and dimensional stability of the fabric, must be evaluated.  SPS will provide the cleaning process that is right for your particular upholstered fabric.
